The Orb

from €60.00

The torus can be found naturally occurring in nature and also has spiritual significance for some, often interpreted as representing the interconnectedness of the universe. The hand-drawn geometric torus captivates the observer with its intricate patterns and harmonious symmetry, an entrancing dance of shapes that converge and diverge in a rhythmic display of mathematical elegance. The torus, a symbol of unity and continuity, takes on a mesmerising three-dimensional quality, seemingly pulsating with energy. As the viewer contemplates this creation, a sense of balance and order emerges, inviting contemplation of the delicate equilibrium between structure and fluidity. The sophisticated palette of cool blues and warm golds, adds depth and dimension to the artwork, enhancing the illusion of depth within the torus.

The painting of The Orb was inspired by the blue skies of Spain, neverending as they drift through the summer skies. This design was hand drawn using a ruler and compass, and then hand painted by combining traditional techniques and gouache, to produce a contemporary print. This print is ethereal, creating a sense of timelessness, a feeling of a spirit adrift in peace.
