Violet Mexuar

from €60.00

This rosette design is taken from a pattern found in the glorious mosaics of the Mexuar Room. This is the first room you enter as you go into the Nasrid palaces of the Alhambra and it is stunning. The glaze of the ceramics are in deliciously deep hues, surrounding you on all sides wrapping you in a lovely colour filled hug.

This beautiful design was hand drawn using a ruler and compass, and then painted in a contemporary style. Combining traditional techniques with watercolour results in this bold interpretation featuring deep rich violets surrounded by stunning gold, teals, greys and blacks as the rosettes spin around the sixteen point star central motif. This print bridges the past and present, offering a captivating and beautiful interpretation of design in a modern context.

Giclée Print on Hahnemühle photo rag paper.
